Favorite memories on the Farm:

Brya – My favorite thing on the farm was milking the cows. It’s a machine that’s like a vacuum. It sucks onto their teats (where the milk comes out). First, before the vacuum you put on chlorine stuff that sanitizes the teats. Then you put the vacuum on. After, you put on a blue gel that’s like a lotion. That’s when the cow knows when they are all done. It takes about 6 days for the milk to be in a carton at the grocery store. Next we got to feed the baby calves. They were a week old & so cute. We fed them milk from 2 cows that were taking antibiotics so they couldn’t sell that milk. We fed the calves out of a baby bottle that was WAY bigger than a baby bottle! They sucked my fingers like a pacifier. My hands got really slimy.

Parker – I loved scooping up the cow poop. Because I got to drive on the real road with a tractor, a REAL tractor, out to the fields with my friend Jacob. He was the one helping me drive his tractor. I also loved the piggies. I caught one! They were messy, squeaky, crazy and liked me. I smelled like piggy when I got done. I can’t wait to see the piggies again. I am planning on going back to the farm this summer. I got to see the mommy pigs & the really big piggies. They were going to be sold 2 months later when they got to 300lbs. The farm was cool.

Kiki – My favorite thing about the farm was holding the baby goats. They were very soft and cuddly. They were all sitting in a corner. They were very cute. There was also baby pigs that made a lot of noise and they were too fast for me to catch one. I had a great time at the farm!
