Feeling at Home – Cause we haven’t left…

Still in Cali… We finished getting out of our house, and drove all of 40 minutes south to San Elijo State Park. Where we sit now as I write. Still trying to finish up the last of our projects on the Airstream before we head out to see the US of A… We are hoping at some point we will head East possibly this week or so.

Some great rookie moments for you: I just went to take a shower in the Airsteam’s (Mildred, Milly for short) shower this evening & it has about an inch of standing water… oops forgot to check the grey water – quite full… needing to be emptied.  We had to move campsites and we put down the jack to Milly, but forgot to block the tires, so when we took her off the hitch she rolled right off the blocks  a foot forward. Of course my first thought was to hold her from rolling – so I am holding on to hitch thinking that I am going to save my 9000 lb. Mildred!

Taking advantage of Encinitas today as we shopped for 6 hours for supplies!

Can’t believe you’re already off and rolling!! I so wanted to come and see your open “house” but we did family day so had to miss. Guess I’ll have to come check it out when you’re all back. Happy Trails!

I’ve been thinking about you guys all week. My daughter’s family is having the same similar adventures with their 26 foot trailer. Brand-new and it’s amazing how many things have gone wrong with it. Praying for safety, fun, and adventure for all of you….and that you’re able to get out of California soon to see the US of A!
